TAG is a longstanding champion of the human right to science, which we believe entitles everyone, everywhere to benefit from the best available tools to end HIV, TB, and HCV. Our submission to the United Nations Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights responds to a call for input on the right to access and take part in scientific progress to inform an upcoming report to the Human Rights Council. We make a case that realizing the right to science demands affected community engagement at every step of the research, development, implementation, and policymaking process through mechanisms such as Community Advisory Boards (CABs).
