In August 2018, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation contracted TAG to undertake a survey of investigators conducting studies included in our “Research Toward a Cure” clinical trials listing, in order to obtain more detailed information about the current landscape of HIV cure-related clinical research. A scientific journal article describing the findings was published in the open access Journal of Virus Eradication, along with an accompanying Issue Brief for the TAG website.

TAG conducted a second survey in the fall of 2019 to track any changes over time and provide updated information on status of the field. We’re grateful to the Journal of Virus Eradication for once again publishing the results and this brief community summary outlines the main findings.
