On January 11, 2019, TB Project Co-Director Lindsay McKenna attended a half-day conference hosted by the NYC Bureau of Tuberculosis Control. Based on new publications and research, attendees discussed ways to revise and update present treatments of patients with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). While NYC continues to see successful health outcomes and low incidences of MDR-TB since 1992, treatment protocols for patients with MDR-TB should be updated during the 18-month regimen.
