Dr. Gupta is Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Faculty Co-chair of the Johns Hopkins Gupta-Klinsky India Institute. She specializes in international public health, clinical research and education in infectious diseases (HIV, tuberculosis, and antimicrobial resistance) in India and other low- and middle-income settings. Notably, she has led groundbreaking work to advance TB treatment and prevention in persons with and without HIV, with a focus on pregnant persons.
