On Thursday, October 19, TAG’s 2023 Research in Action Awards (RIAA) once again honored some of the best and brightest scientists, activists, and leaders in the fight to end HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis C across the U.S. and around the world.

We gathered in person in New York at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, and the event was also streamed for our allies and friends across the U.S. and world. The evening kicked off with the opening reception and cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m. ET, and our program began promptly at 7:00 p.m, when our wonderful emcee Tamrin Goldberg welcomed everyone.

This year’s RIAA was a unique opportunity to celebrate the achievements and innovations of our honorees, who have dedicated their lives and careers to ending the epidemics of HIV, TB, and HCV. Our honorees all are inspiring examples of how science, activism, and leadership can work together to make a difference for millions of people around the world. By joining us in person or online, our supporters acknowledged all of our honorees, and also helped TAG continue its mission of ensuring that everyone has access to life-saving prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care.
